Commissioning the Sprinkler System at Ongar Road – A Smooth Finish for Mici Brothers
We’re pleased to announce the successful commissioning of the residential fire sprinkler system at Ongar Road, completed in partnership with Mici Brothers.
This project represents another step forward in delivering reliable, fully compliant life safety systems to modern residential developments — designed, installed, and commissioned to meet BS 9251:2021 standards.
Project Overview
Located in the heart of London, the Ongar Road development combines contemporary living with discreet fire protection. Working closely with Mici Brothers from early design through to final commissioning, our team ensured the system was tailored to meet both the architectural layout and the performance requirements for a Category 2 residential sprinkler system.
Our in-house design and commissioning teams managed every stage — from hydraulic calculations and layout drawings to testing and sign-off — ensuring the system achieved the specified coverage and flow performance.
Commissioning Process
Commissioning was carried out in accordance with BS 9251:2021, including:
- Full operational checks of pumps, valves, and alarm interfaces
- Flow and pressure verification at remote test points
- Flushing and air removal to ensure optimal system performance
- Final inspection of head positioning, labelling, and isolation valve access
Every component was tested and verified to deliver reliable activation and protection in the event of a fire.
