Planning Submission – Outline Sprinkler System Design
Approx. 60 Heads | Grade II Listed Building
The proposed development at Albert Hall Mansions includes provision for a
residential sprinkler system designed in accordance with BS 9251:2021, forming part
of the overall fire safety strategy at planning stage. Based on the current layout, the
system is anticipated to incorporate approximately 60 sprinkler heads.
Given the Grade II listed status of the building, the sprinkler design will be developed
with careful consideration to the existing architectural features. Sprinkler head
locations and pipework routing will be coordinated at the detailed design stage to
minimise visual impact, whilst maintaining compliance with coverage, spacing and
performance requirements.
The inclusion of a sprinkler system will support the overall fire safety objectives of
the development and assist in demonstrating compliance with the functional
requirements of the Building Regulations in relation to life safety.
